Hi, I’m Katey.

A modern, empowered, empathic and intuitive healer, lightworker and alchemist who will see and accept the real you. I’ll be a sincere, quick-witted, big-hearted, imaginative yet realistic guide who uses tarot as a tool to help you unleash your inner badassery.

Yes, I read tarot. No, I’m not a witch.

I’m a lightworker. Lightworkers are dedicated to being a positive force in the world, helping others, and bringing light and love to the planet. Lightworkers are said to be in tune with their soul and make choices based on that, rather than fear. They are also believed to be able to transform others and change their way of thinking.

While it looks different for every person I work with, this involves using my intuitive, empathic abilities to get to the root of what you seek guidance on. I then use the cards to help provoke your own thoughts on the subject. To unlock possibilities you perhaps didn’t see before, to remind you of how amazing you are or to shine a light on the wounds that still have yet to heal. It’s whatever the cards, your heart, and your mind decide you need that day. I co-create your readings with you and your energy - they can be as lighthearted or as deep as you want. Tarot most often provides light and hope, which is why I love it so much. It can also encourage you to dig deeper within, which I equally love to coach people through. You really can’t be an effective lightworker without working with shadow. And you can’t do profound shadow work without knowing how to move toward the light. As the 10 of Swords would say, watching the sun peek over the horizon is the highest task of a bruised heart, and in my opinion, this is some of the greatest work we can do.

Shadow work is rooted in the psychological teachings of Carl Jung, who described the shadow as the unconscious part of our personality that our conscious mind does not identify as self. We may feel pain and assume its origin comes from something external instead of seeing that it actually comes from within, and it’s rooted in a past memory. This can cause us to project our pain onto others. It’s as if a film of dust from that forgotten attic obscures our ability to see that our instinctual responses are coming from somewhere within us, and that they are rooted in prior painful experiences that are deeply hidden. Shadow work is not for the faint of heart, but ignoring the dusty boxes in the back of your psyche means that you will miss the opportunity to soothe, reassure, comfort, and forgive those unseen parts of self that need it most. Gentle and compassionate shadow work can be a game changer. This realm of shadow is not just a hiding place for our fears and flaws, it’s also a beautiful reservoir of potential healing, wisdom, and creativity. Addressing your past can change your future.

Why tarot?

And as it happens, tarot is one of the very best tools for illuminating those parts of self that we struggle to see. The cards allow us to gently pry open that attic and peek inside if we want to. Tarot can feel a lot like fortune telling if your reading resonates, but I see it as a thought provoking tool that inspires personal growth - with a little help from the Universe and our angels & ancestors. Plus, it’s modern now! See some examples of Major Arcana cards from my favorite deck, The Light Seer’s Tarot. The Major Arcana is 22 of the 78 cards, and they represent major events in the soul’s spiritual journey. The remaining 56 cards are in 4 suits that represent each of the four elements: Air/Swords - Intellect, Fire/Wands - Creativity, Earth/Pentacles - Material abundance, and Water/Cups are Emotions. Tarot can be interwoven with astrology because of the association with the elements. Each card has a more detailed meaning that is influenced by the cards that fall around it. About Me

Growing up in Queens, NY - the most diverse place on earth - I believe that diversity of thought, belief, and background is the secret sauce to growth. I’ve had several lifetimes within my career so far. From booking live music and touring with bands nationally, to multicultural event planning for 100,000 people, to working with refugees in the nonprofit sector, to today where I’m a full time employee at headquarters for a major retailer, part time healer and multi-pronged influencer. I have soaked up the knowledge and energy of people from all over the world. I’m an old soul with a young heart. I’ve navigated my life through truly connecting to people. I can read a room and strategize with the best of them, while honoring that decisions must be made for the highest good of all. I have a long history of attracting narcissists like a magnet and have a wealth of knowledge on the topic of narcissistic abuse. I believe karma is real, authenticity is joy, and you are much more powerful than you think you are.

My Approach

We will set intentions and goals for your sessions, ensuring I have the background information I need about you and the situation you seek guidance for. Using my intuition, experience, tarot, coaching, and other energy healing tools, I will see through the masks we tend to wear in this world to pull out your authentic self, address unhealed trauma that holds you back, and shine your beautiful light back at you. To me, ultimate success is when you are able to overcome challenges you’ve chronically struggled with by looking at them in new ways and taking right action. I provide ongoing sessions, as well as epic one-time intuitive tarot readings to accomplish this in a more condensed way.
